"For discerning vehicle owners who expect

General Warranty Terms and Conditions

The warranty is limited and subject to the terms outlined in this policy. Certain services or parts may be excluded depending on source or application.

It covers normal use and service but does not apply to damage from accidents, misuse, neglect, or modifications.

The warranty applies only to the original vehicle and owner and cannot be transferred. To make a claim, contact us with proof of service as soon as you notice any issue.

Coverage

Coverage applies only to repairs and parts supplied and installed by Speedy Pit Stop.

  • Includes defects in materials (parts) and workmanship (service).
  • Repair or replacement will be performed at our discretion at no added cost.

Eligibility

  • Proof of original invoice is required for claims.
  • Coverage is non-transferable.
  • All warranty work must be performed by Speedy Pit Stop or a qualified third-party technician authorized by SPS.

Exclusions

  • Normal wear items (e.g., bulbs, fluids) unless failure is from workmanship.
  • Damage from negligence, accidental damage, misuse, or unrelated failures.
  • Pre-existing conditions, external factors, or issues resulting from vehicle age.
  • Loss of use, towing, or outside service costs.
  • Diagnostics not tied to a verified failure in parts or service.

If a diagnostic test is performed, but the issue is not caused by a defective part or improper work done by SPS, then the diagnostic effort itself is not covered under the warranty.

  • Customer-supplied or used parts (unless noted otherwise).

  • Customer or third-party repair attempts on coverable issues (such attempts void the warranty).

Limitations

  • Coverage limited to original invoice amount.
  • Whichever comes first: time or mileage.
  • Vehicle must be returned for inspection before any warranty work.
  • Some services (e.g., advanced electrical work or intermittent issues) may have modified terms listed in estimate.

Replaceable Items

Certain components, such as wiper blades, brake pads, filters, and other high-wear items, are covered under a limited 1-year / 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) warranty. These parts naturally degrade through normal use, environmental exposure, and routine operation. While we stand behind the quality and installation of these components, their lifespan is inherently limited by factors beyond our control, including climate, driving habits, and mileage. The 1-year warranty ensures customers have protection against defects while reflecting the expected life of the product under standard operating conditions.

Additional examples of high-wear items include:

  • Batteries (Lead-Acid, AGM, or Lithium)
  • Belts & Hoses (timing belts, serpentine belts, radiator hoses, fuel lines)
  • Brake Pads & Shoes
  • Brake Rotors & Drums
  • Clutch Components (friction plates, discs, pressure plates)
  • Exhaust Components (Mufflers, Catalytic Converters)
  • Filters (Air, Oil, Cabin)
  • Spark Plugs & Ignition Coils
  • Tires
  • Wiper Blades

Heavy-Duty and Performance Applications

For vehicles used in heavy-duty applications, including work trucks, commercial vehicles, or high-performance vehicles, our coverage is limited to a 1-year warranty. These vehicles are subjected to more extreme loads, frequent high-stress operation, or demanding conditions, which can accelerate wear and reduce the lifespan of parts beyond typical use. Limiting the warranty in these cases allows us to maintain fair and reliable coverage while recognizing the increased demands placed on the components.

Selective Exclusions:

Certain high-cost electronic modules, whether OEM or aftermarket, such as infotainment systems, navigation units, hybrid or EV control modules, and other specialized electronics, may have separate warranties from the manufacturer or supplier. Our 2-year warranty may not apply to these components, or coverage may be limited to specific failures not already covered. In some cases, we may provide labor coverage only, while parts remain under the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty. This approach helps manage the cost of high-value components while ensuring customers still receive support for qualifying repairs.

Warranty Claim

Contact us as soon as a problem is noticed. Do not attempt to repair or have third-party work done before we inspect it, as this will void coverage.

Upon receiving a valid warranty claim with required documentation, Speedy Pit Stop will acknowledge the claim within 3 business days and schedule a time to inspect and determine coverage status promptly. Repairs will generally be completed within 7-14 business days, depending on parts availability and repair complexity. Clients will be notified in advance if longer timelines are required.

Warranty Performance and Subcontracting

In the event that Speedy Pit Stop is unable to perform a warranty repair directly, we reserve the right to authorize a qualified third-party technician to complete the work. All warranty repairs, whether performed by Speedy Pit Stop or an approved subcontractor, will meet the same standards of quality and care. Clients will be notified in advance if a third-party provider is required.

Certain situations, such as vehicles located outside of our service area or otherwise inaccessible to SPS, may make third-party repair, remote evaluation, or transport to an approved location necessary. Clients will be informed of any required arrangements, and associated costs (e.g., transport) are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise specified. If the vehicle cannot be evaluated or repaired under these conditions, the warranty cannot be fulfilled.

No Warranty for Customer-Supplied Parts:

This applies when warranty coverage does not qualify or is declined. Situations include customer-supplied parts, experimental or non-standard repairs, or when specified under estimate notes.

Service and parts warranty is normally covered through parts sales, and our pricing does not include provisions for service warranty without it.

Therefore, no warranty of any kind is offered when using customer-supplied parts (in the rare instances we agree to use them), as failures may result from parts not sold by us or from a third-party misdiagnosis. We also cannot provide free service to replace them if they turn out to be defective or if the wrong parts were installed at the customer's request.

Allowing exceptions would introduce ambiguity into the warranty process, since the exact cause of a malfunction may be unclear.
